Summary

  • Team members from Certify and Emburse hosted our first ever virtual user conference, Certify (Virtual) Connect
  • Our presenters came together for an insightful dive into recent enhancements, upcoming plans, and a glimpse into the realities of adjusting to working from home

What’s new? What’s to come?

The event kicked off with a formal introduction to Emburse from our CEO, Eric Friedrichsen. Eric explained how an expanded capacity to innovate and maintain a customer-centric commitment derives from unifying our family of solutions.

Eric’s fellow presenters then showcased our recent product launches and enhancements to existing products, including Certify ExpenseEmburse Cards, and Certify AP. The team also gave attendees a glimpse of planned upgrades for the year to come. Game-changing additions like Expense Pre-Approval and Emburse Auditor further cemented our commitment to humanizing work for our customers.

Customer panel took center stage
As exciting as the product news was, it was our guest panel that stole the show. We welcomed three finance professionals to the virtual stage for an hour-long Q&A session about their experiences adjusting to a work-from-home reality:

Diane Tiefel
Accounting Operations Manager at Strada Education Network - a national social impact organization devoted to research, philanthropy, and solutions that align education and careers.

Jerri Bossie
Director, Accounts Payable at Helen of Troy Limited - a leading global consumer products company offering creative solutions for their customers through a diversified portfolio of well-recognized and widely trusted brands.

Alice Browning
Vice President of Accounting Operations at Park National Bank - part of a group of strong, successful banks is dedicated to providing superior customer service, a full range of financial services, and local community support.

The panel reflected on the challenges (and ease) of transitioning into their new home-based settings. They also discussed lessons learned from their preparedness for changes COVID-19 brought to organizations everywhere. Each guest reflected on what they would have done differently in response to such massive, and unexpected disruption. The panel then looked ahead to what the future holds once a return to the office environment is allowed.

If you didn’t have a chance to catch the event live, you’re not out of luck. A recording of the entire presentation is now available. Enjoy the show. We hope to see you at the next one.
